A tall storey…

08 May

Or, rather, many of them although some are still under construction and others have been put on hold. Browsing the database of the CTBUH (the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat, the organization that determines the title of the “World’s Tallest Building”) is quite informative and I am gobsmacked by some of the ongoing projects.

The official Top 10 of the tallest is:

  1. The Burj Dubai, Dubai
  2. Taipei 101, Taipei
  3. Shanghai World Financial Center, Shanghai
  4. The Petronas Twin Towers, Kuala Lumpur
  5. The Sears Tower, Chicago
  6. Jin Mao Tower, Shanghai
  7. Two International Finance Centre, Hong Kong
  8. The Trump International Hotel and Tower, Chicago
  9. The Empire State Building, New York City
  10. Central Plaza, Hong Kong

Per continent, the tallest buildings are :
