Hotel Prices Rise Even Higher Due To Ash Cloud

The ash cloud caused by the eruption of Mt. Eyjafjallajokul in Iceland not only grounded
European air travel for days on end, but also triggered a drastic price hike in many of
Europe’s affected cities. Overnight guests were faced with price increases of up to 91
percent in Milan and 49 percent in London. These are the findings of a study by hotel price
comparison site www.trivago.co.uk, based on a comparison of hotel prices now and prior
